Grant Overview

As the Product Manager you will see this project from conception to delivery. You wil define the project, solve for known problems and prepare a design brief with workflows and user stories. Working with the Braintrust design team, you will lead the process for defining the final UI/UX and hand off final Product Requirements to the Braintrust Core Code Team.

About the Project

1. What is the Problem or Opportunity?

Braintrust Problem: Projects on Braintrust require both a salesperson and a talent matcher to adequately fill jobs - which directly correlates to Braintrust GSV. As a result, fill rate growth is limited by small team members.
Client Problem: Clients lack the self-service tools that enable them to manage their projects directly. As a result, they are reliant on Braintrust's core team members for help. This reduces the time to hire and negatively impacts fill rate and GSV.
Talent Problem: Talent often have questions about a job including which requirements are firm/soft and the status of the hiring process. Talent find various ways of getting their questions answered, most of which can be answered multiple times by multiple people.
By enabling comments and/or FAQs on Braintrust projects, clients will be able to manage their own projects, and talent will be able to get more direct and timely information on the project. This project should also enable higher proposal quality as talent will be more informed about the project status and requirements.

2. Why now?

The recent internal Job Discovery project included several user interviews which identified a lack of requirements and status transparency about the projects as an obstacle to submitting a proposal.
Early versions for the newly designed Job Cards and Job Details pages account for better merchandising existing information. However, there is room to amplify these efforts by also adding enhancements to the experience, most notably job comments, and FAQs.
